Dear Hybeam Customers,
I thought I would take this moment to update you
on our status during this time of crisis on the east coast. At approximately
4:14 EST on August 14, 2003 all electrical service cease to function
and as a result our Emergency Plan was put into action.
As part of our plan to ensure continuity for all
critical aspects of our service we have achieved the following:
- All non-functional network providers were automatically and
immediately taken off line and traffic was instantaneously rerouted.
As a result we have experienced no downtime in any of the hosting
services provided by Hybeam;
- All of our systems are currently being powered by our two redundant
diesel generators to ensure 100% uptime of the servers and the
network;
- Our Florida network facility is completely functional due to our
geographic dispersion strategy;
- Our Technical Support office is functioning and is operating under
our backup power generation system;
- Our call center is operating and we are answering all Technical
Support calls and we will continue to operate our standard 7/24,
365 services.
In summary, you have experienced continuous service for your hosting
and email during this time of crisis. We expect no change in this
status no matter how long it takes to resolve the Electrical grid
problems.
Our staff has been working diligently through some
extremely tough and stressful times. We appreciate their efforts
and we ask you for your patience in the event you are not receiving
the timeliness of response that you have come to expect from Hybeam.
I would like to thank all of you for your business
and your trust and we continue to remain 100% committed to your
success.
Sincerely,
Ellen Hunt
